Cookie Policy

What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device when you visit a website. This policy explains the limited use of cookies and similar storage on the Al Manar Racing website, what they are used for, and how you can manage them.
How do we use cookies?
We keep our use of cookies to a minimum. We do not set any first-party tracking cookies of our own, and we do not use advertising cookies. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site, such as which pages are visited, so we can improve the experience. Google Analytics sets its own cookies to do this. Beyond that, the only storage we rely on directly is a single strictly-necessary item that remembers your cookie banner choice. The only other third-party cookies you may encounter come from YouTube videos embedded on some race pages, and only if you choose to play them.
Types of storage we use
Strictly necessary
These are required for the site to remember your preferences. They are stored in your browser, do not track you, and are not shared with anyone.
| Name | Type | Duration | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| almanar-cookie-consent | Local storage | Until cleared | Stores whether you accepted or declined non-essential cookies so we don't ask again on every visit. This is not a tracking cookie. |
Analytics (Google Analytics)
We use Google Analytics to understand site traffic and how visitors use the website, such as which pages are popular and how long people stay. This data is processed by Google and is not used for advertising by us.
| Cookie | Duration | Description |
|---|---|---|
| _ga | 2 years | Set by Google Analytics to distinguish unique visitors. |
| _ga_CHZM6HLTWJ | 2 years | Set by Google Analytics to persist session state for this property. |
Third-party (embedded videos)
Some race pages embed videos from YouTube. We load these using YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), so YouTube does not set cookies until you actually start playing a video. If you play an embedded video, YouTube may set the following cookies, which are controlled by Google, not by us.
| Cookie | Duration | Description |
|---|---|---|
| VISITOR_INFO1_LIVE | 5 months 27 days | YouTube sets this cookie to measure bandwidth and determine whether you get the new or old player interface. |
| YSC | session | YouTube sets this cookie to track the views of embedded videos. |
| CONSENT | 2 years | YouTube sets this cookie via embedded videos and registers anonymous statistical data. |
